Wednesday: I used to HATE spelling this word in elementary school. I would never get it right. But now, I'm cool with it. Mainly because it means it's Road Trip Wednesday day with the ladies of YA Highway. And guess what we're talking about this week: WORDS!
The Highway-ers wanna know:
What words do you absolutely hate? Which ones do you adore?

I always shudder at "moist," too
Yes, "moist" is gross. I always think of an old Harry Connick song when I hear indubitably, though, which is a good memory!
Agree! Adding moist to my list now lol
Yes! Ointment and moist! Laughing so hard right now.
I agree with you on moist. Not a great word. Also totally thinking of How I Met Your Mother now.
I do love juxtaposition. We learnt it in high school. It was one of the many words our teachers would get us to know and remember so we sounded smart in our essays.
Ew, ew, ew to moist. And juxtaposition is one of my favorites, as well! :)
Ewwww, 'moist' and 'ointment' are both disgusting. So gross. You have some great words that you adore too :-)
Is it coincidental that some of the words you dislike have "oi" in them (moist, ointment, hoist), or do you have something against the "oi" sound? :)
"Moist" is a good onomatopoeic word, but it does sound a bit... ikky. :)
It is interesting how many people shudder at "moist!" Great love words! And I think every kid has trouble with Wednesday. Who came up with the spelling on that one?
Love your lists. Check out this commercial for an indubitably awesome flashback:
Post Crispy Critters Cereal
A cha-cha-cha!
I also love UGH. It's pretty much my favorite thing to say.
Fun fact: I sometimes still have problems spelling Wednesday. I have to quietly say WED-NES-DAY to make sure it's right.
LOL..Sometimes we misspelled some words,we are not perfect though.. I use ANAGRAMMER if I'm having a hard time.
Words with friends cheat
Palindrome and random are fun words :). Love those!
Cool post! I don't like the word "toilet" either! On the other hand, I love the word "marble." I just like how it rolls off the tongue. LOL. :)
